In the Month of May...

This month has been quite a busy one for us!

Our book business had been experiencing the "lull before the storm" last month, but it's now really starting to pick up! Families are beginning to purchase their curriculum for next year, so we are getting busier by the week (praise God)!

On May 5th, Mom and Dad celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary!

Joseph and I sent them out to dinner at the Chart House, and they put "Happy 25th Wedding Anniversary" on the menu! :)

Congratulations Mom and Dad!!!

These are some roses from Mom's rose bush! It was very nice to bloom for us on Mother's Day!

Here is our Mother's Day dinner... We had my Aunt and Uncle, my other Uncle, and my Grandparents over for dinner.
(One of my Uncles made the lamb and red potatoes.)

Our Gardenia bush was in bloom as well!

Is there anything quite so delicious smelling as Gardenias?

Maybe Honeysuckle.... :)

I am so thankful to have been blessed with such a wonderful, Godly mother! She is my steadfast counselor and mentor. I'm grateful for her "Proverbs 31" example...

I'd be lost without her! :)

Unfortunately, the past 3 days of non-stop rain and wind have completely destroyed almost everything. I'm praying for some sunshine!

I am very sad after working so hard planting, watering, nurturing, and weeding... However, I have to realize that God is the One who brought the torrential rain, and I have to rest in that.

I would have never made it as a farmer...

Canning Mint Jelly!

About a month ago, I tried canning mint jelly. We were having lamb, so I was prompted to try it out. I can happily report that my mint plant has fully recovered from its sorry looking state in the video!
